FIN 2303 - Business Finance | Spring 2024

This course is an introduction to the basic principles of finance and the application of these principles to financial decision-making. The goal of this course is to provide students with a working knowledge of fundamental concepts in financial management and the ability to apply these concepts to real-world problems. In particular, the student should learn the following subjects: time value of money, interest rates, risk and return, stock and bond valuation, cash flow analysis, and capital budgeting.

Description: comprehensive course in corporate board management, that builds on the main concepts taught in the core finance and accounting courses, with particular emphasis on investment banking, corporate governance, and executive compensation.


FIN 4413: Derivative Securities | Instructor: Bryan Stanhouse, Ph.D.

Description: Course focused on derivatives as financial instruments, including futures, swaps and options. The main objective is to analyze investors' behavior and how they value these instruments in order to mitigate associated risks.
