You can find a sample LaTeX project for a thesis here. I recommend using Overleaf (simply upload the tex and bib files, and get started).
If you need a reference letter from me, please provide the following documents:
up-to-date CV
transcript of records
short motivation statement
other necessary information (where to send the letter, deadline, etc.).
Please note that I only send references directly to the receiving institution.
