About Ali Lauren

I am a fine artist living in Cape Town, South Africa, mainly working in oil, ink & watercolour. Inspired by the birds & botanicals of the Cape floristic kingdom and the landscape where they are found, I enjoy observing nature and connecting with the rhythm of the seasons.

Aside from my studio practice, my husband & I enjoy hiking the trails around Table Mountain, taking our sea kayak out on the ocean and going on motorcycle adventures around the peninsula.

After growing up and studying near Chicago, I have been based in South Africa for just over a dozen years. I am honored to be a member of three South African art societies and grateful to participate in exhibitions at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens several times a year. My collection of fine art prints can also be found in a handful of quaint shops around Cape Town.
