I am an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at Florida State University.
I received my PhD and MSc. degrees from Mathematics and Statistics Department at Queen's University in 2021 and 2017 advised by Professor Serdar Yuksel, and my B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University in 2016. Between 2021 and 2024, I was a Byrne Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Michigan.
I am broadly interested in decision making problems for complex systems. I aim to provide practical methods with rigorous provable guarantees for these problems.
Research Interests:
Stochastic control and operations research: Robustness and data-driven methods for stochastic control, mean-field control
Machine learning: Reinforcement learning theory (especially for large systems and/or problems under partial information)
Probability theory and applications: Non-linear filtering
