Khan Academy

Khan Academy is another open educational resource that’s geared both towards learners and educators. Learners can access educational content on a wide range of topics from science and engineering to computer programming, all from a 
        personalised learning dashboard that enables them to study at their own pace. 

      Learningpod

        In collaboration with OpenStax, Learningpod created question sets for OpenStax textbooks and is now said to be the 
        largest library of free online practice questions in the world.

Engineering - Open Educational Resources 


The website has all the stuff to satisfy the hunger of today’s engineers. It provides video tutorials on engineering and its application, explanation of concepts, principles, software tutorials, video shows on interesting discussions. Moreover, it lists all the relevant engineering jobs related to various disciplines and locations. Various video tutorials and tips to crack interviews are also part of this wonderful site. Other interesting features include articles on electronics, 3D printing, software designing, games, puzzles and downloadable material in resource section and library.

The website is run by a senior professor and has section where you can send your problems and doubts related to engineering for which solutions are provided. You can see blogs on engineering notes, research and other tutorials on interesting engineering stuff.

Arduino is an “open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software.” The best part about Arduino is that they provide materials for purchase as well as free online video tutorials so that beginners in electronics and electrical engineering can gain hands-on experience and practice. 


          www. archive.org is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites and more. Students 
        can benefit from the huge collection of digital books on virtually all the subjects sourced from the different universities                 and organizations across the Globe


    www.brightstorm.com is meant for the budding engineers (students who are appearing for the engineering entrance
    exams) as well as the engineers who wish to clear their doubts in the core subjects like calculus, algebra, trigonometry etc.


     www.efunda.com contains engineering calculators, formulas and important concepts for the engineers. This is a truly
    dedicated and one of the best learning websites for the engineering students.


     www.futuresinengineering.org deals with the moot question like what is engineering all about to what engineers do. This
    is a useful website for all the budding engineers.

 

     www.engineeringchallenges.org is a website that collates the news and problems being faced by the engineers all around
    the world like making nuclear fusion a reliable source of energy.


Women in technology is the hottest topic in IT sector, and Engineer Girl serves it well. This is a site as a career guide for women engineer but it also provides some cool stuff like “Did You Know”, contests and links to other engineering websites. Meet the previous women engineers in the “Women Engineers” section and “Career” section that provides information about various streams of engineering and job prospects.
