I am a Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, and an external member of the MCMP, LMU Munich.
My research falls within philosophy of science, especially imagination, creativity, and aesthetic values in science. I also focus on the epistemology of experiments, simulations, and thought experiments, and more recently, issues at the intersection of environmental science and environmental aesthetics.
I am currently Principal Investigator on my DFG project "Aesthetic Values and the Social Dimensions of Science".
I supervise BA and MA dissertations on topics such as imagination, fiction and aesthetics in science, philosophy of art and creativity, epistemology, feminist epistemology, and philosophy of science.
Between January 2021 - August 2025, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy. I received my PhD in October 2020 from the University of Leeds.
Here are my published papers and other writings, as well as links to some recorded talks and podcasts.
