Alice Cortinovis

I am a tenure-track researcher (RTT) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Pisa (Italy). Previously, I was a Szegö Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Stanford University. I got my PhD at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.

My research focuses on numerical linear algebra, in particular, I am interested in randomized trace estimation, the computation of matrix functions, and the low-rank approximation of matrices.
