Who we are
We are representatives from the Ecuadorian amazon nations, we are activists, we are storytellers, we are dreamers, we are artists, and we are all working for the well-being of our amazonian communities.
Alianza Minga is a collective of local projects working on conservation, art, culture, agriculture, education and communications. Our projects strive to directly make a positive impact with local communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
Creativity Drives Us
Creativity is the key spark that drives for our development and sustainble solutions. Our ancestors used their creativity to create our mother tongues to communicate, they artistically painted symbols on ceramics to express culture and communication, they created tools to hunt and gather, they experimented with medicinal plants to maintain their health.
Without creativity and innovative minds, we cannot survive and safeguard our communities cultures and lands.
Our collective creativity has empowered inidigenous communities and collaborating alliances to really make a difference and create true sustainability focused on conservation efforts, safeguarding amazonian tongues, artistic expression, and communications in the Amazon.
Conservation in the Amazon
The Ecuadorian Amazon holes one of the most biodiverse region in the world. Our alliance works to make tangible conservation efforts that both the international and local communities can contribute to.
Our focus is driven by the permaculture model, mainly focusing on conservation efforts that maintain a biodiverse and sustainable amazon for all flora, fauna, animals, rivers and humans.
Creative Cultural Revival
The Ecuadorian Amazon holds contains a unique cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible. All of Alianza Minga's projects focus on the revival and conservation of culture in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
Our collective also focuses on innovating the expression of cultural roots, celebrating creativity and culutral expression in new forms.
Focusing on the good
We hear a lot about the devastating news going on in the world, also in the Amazon. While it's important to be informed of the dangers and threats that exist in the Amazon, we also feel it is important to celebrate the positive news to spread innovation, creativity, and hope in our global community.
