Currently, I am an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at the School of Public Health at UNTHSC in Fort Worth, TX. I always look forward to advance my knowledge of quantitative analysis and data modeling. Thus, I completed my doctoral degree in economics focusing on econometrics and industrial organization at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. 

I have expertise in training professionals and graduate students on predictive analytics and time series forecasting in R and Python, as evidenced by mentoring 2,400 students and over 70 professionals. I have a solid ability to effectively communicate & engage with both technical and non-technical audiences, as demonstrated by 24 presentations, including 2 at the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting, and 3 executive analytical briefs, including 2 at the Center for Energy Studies-Japan Ministry of Energy & 9 invited talks.

My research findings have appeared in print in a variety of academic journals such as Journal of Econometrics, Comparative Economic Studies, Eastern Economic Journal, Applied Economics Quarterly, Australian Economics Papers, & Journal of Air Transport Management. 

I have served as a Research Scientist with the State University of New York Research Foundation and a Consultant with Eurasia Foundation. Trained as an electrical engineer at Sharif University of Technology, I received my master's in economics from Virginia Tech. I contribute regularly to the media outlets such as Al-Monitor.com.
