Ali Agent — Privacy Policy
Ali Agent is a browser extension that helps you search AliExpress by image,
download product media, read and export reviews, track prices, compare products,
find promo codes, and prepare products for your own store. This policy explains
what the extension does and does not do with your data.
SUMMARY
- We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
- The extension has no analytics, no tracking, and no remote servers of ours.
- All data the extension creates stays on your own device, in your browser's
local storage.
DATA STORED LOCALLY
To provide its features, Ali Agent saves the following only in your browser
(via chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your device and can be cleared any
time from the dashboard:
- Your settings (profit model, markup, export format, scoring weights).
- Products you choose to track, and their price history that builds up over time.
- Your compare list and saved promo codes.
- The product list from an Agent scan you run.
DATA THE EXTENSION READS
When you use a feature, the extension reads content from the page you are on and
from AliExpress to fulfil your request. For example:
- Product images, titles, prices, ratings and reviews are read from AliExpress to
power downloads, analysis, comparison and the "Should I Buy?" verdict.
- For image search, the image you choose is uploaded to AliExpress's own image
search, which returns the matching products. The image is not sent anywhere else.
- Reviews are fetched from AliExpress's public feedback endpoint.
These requests go directly from your browser to AliExpress. Ali Agent does not
receive a copy.
DOWNLOADS
Files you download (images, videos, ZIPs, CSV/JSON exports, invoices) are saved
directly to your computer's Downloads folder. They are not uploaded anywhere.
AFFILIATE DISCLOSURE
Ali Agent may append affiliate parameters to AliExpress links so the developer
can earn a commission if you make a purchase. This does not change the price you
pay and does not collect any information about you.
PERMISSIONS
Each permission is used only to provide a feature you trigger. No permission is
used for tracking or advertising.
- downloads: save images, videos, reviews, ZIP and CSV/JSON exports, invoices.
- storage: save your settings, tracked prices, compare list and promo codes locally.
- contextMenus: add a right-click "Search this image on AliExpress" option.
- scripting / activeTab / tabs: run the requested feature on the active AliExpress
tab and open the dashboard and side panel.
- alarms: periodically re-check the price of products you track.
- notifications: alert you when a tracked price drops.
- sidePanel: show the side panel, including image-search results.
- declarativeNetRequest: remove frame-blocking headers only on AliExpress subframes
so image-search results can load inside the side-panel iframe.
- Host access to AliExpress, alicdn and feedback.aliexpress.com: read product data,
images and reviews, and run image search.
- Access to all sites: so the "Search this image on AliExpress" hover button works
on images on any website, and to fetch the chosen image's bytes for the search.
No page content is collected or transmitted to the developer.
CHILDREN
Ali Agent is a shopping utility and is not directed at children under 13.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use
after an update means you accept the revised policy.
