Accommodation

Registration includes on-site accommodation at the IESC, an energy-efficient scientific conference center situated on the Corsican coast, outside the picturesque village of Cargèse. Also included are breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday, coffee breaks, a buffet/mixer on Monday evening, and a gala dinner on Thursday evening.

Sunday night dinner and all other dinners are at the charge of the participant; restaurants can be found in Cargèse village (15-20 minutes by foot— bring good shoes for walking!).

We ask that all participants and teachers stay at the IESC for the entire school.

Access

The closest airport is Ajaccio. In November it is served principally by Air France and Corsica Airlines. Book your flight early to obtain the best rates.

Overnight ferries from Marseille or Toulon are also a possibility.

Scheduled arrival/departure bus trips

The registration fee includes two scheduled bus trips: one from Ajaccio airport on the arrival day (Sunday 22nd) and one back to the airport for departure (Friday 27th). The bus trip takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.

Taxi:

Any transport other than the scheduled bus trips is the responsibility of the participant and will not be covered. A taxi between the Ajaccio airport and the conference site costs approximately 120 euros, or 160 euros on Sunday or at night. The taxi may be shared however.
