Annabel Obot, at the age of 20, offers a distinctive perspective on this topic, drawing upon her interdisciplinary academic background. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies with a minor in Gender and Social Justice from Trent University, where she graduated with Dean’s Honors. Her work is fundamentally grounded in a rigorous examination of how algorithmic systems influence the visibility and representation of marginalized communities, particularly within the realm of social justice. Through this platform, Annabel Obot aims to enhance understanding of how social media activism is reshaped by algorithmic decision-making. The project offers valuable insights and serves as a forum for engagement with the role of technology in shaping the trajectory of social justice movements.
