Algora ("the app") is a data structures, algorithms, and AI/ML learning app published by Saimum Islam. This policy explains what data the app touches and why. If a category of data isn't listed below, the app does not collect it.
Algora has no sign-up, no login, and no backend server. All of your progress — completed topics, quiz history, flashcard review schedule, and settings — is stored only in local app storage on your device (Android DataStore). It is never transmitted anywhere by the app. Uninstalling the app deletes it. If Android's own device backup is enabled, that local data may be included in your normal device backup, same as any other app's — Algora does not manage or control that separately.
In short: nothing you do inside Algora — which topics you study, how you score on a quiz, which flashcards you review — leaves your device through anything Algora itself writes.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — only for the optional daily study reminder, toggleable in Settings. Scheduled locally on-device; nothing about it is sent anywhere.
Algora uses a small number of Google services to run rewarded ads, process the one-time in-app purchase, and show the native Play "rate this app" prompt. Each is Google's own SDK under Google's own terms — Algora adds no tracking of its own on top.
Google AdMob — optional rewarded video ads; watch one to unlock a locked topic for 24h. Only shown if you tap "watch an ad"; never automatic. Google's ad SDK may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, per Google's ad policy.
Google Play Billing — handles the one lifetime "remove ads / unlock everything" purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play. Algora never sees or stores card details — only Play's confirmation the purchase was made.
Google Play In-App Review — the native "rate Algora" prompt shown occasionally after positive usage signals. Handled entirely by Play's review API; Algora doesn't see your rating or review text.
No analytics or crash-reporting SDK is included in the app.
No user accounts, sign-in, or personal profile of any kind.
No chat, comments, or any way for users to share content with each other.
No sale of data — there is no data collected by Algora itself to sell.
Algora is listed for a general audience (13+) and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated and the new version posted at the same address.
