This program investigates how algebraic methods can tackle problems in metric and integral geometry. Topics include the geometry of distance functions on algebraic sets, their probabilistic behavior, optimization on Grassmannians, the study of tubes and their volumes, and new approaches to real intersection theory. By linking algebra, geometry, and probability, the program aims to develop fresh perspectives on classical questions and foster applications in areas such as optimization and computer vision.
