Alexander Wurdinger

Welcome!

I am a sixth year PhD student in the Department of Economics at the University of Minnesota. Additionally, I am a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. I will start my position as Assistant Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in September 2026. My research focuses on how large-scale macroeconomic changes affect labor market outcomes across different groups of workers and how policy can help shape those outcomes. I do so by combining quantitative structural modeling with causal inference using microdata.
