reading seminars & expository talks
I like to test my understanding of a specific topic by preparing a talk about it for other people, especially because it forces me to be precise and face all of my doubts, which are often clarified with the help of the audience. Here are some occasions where I could test myself in such an activity.
Topics in General Relativity, Universität Münster, December 2022. Topic: Blowup of the local energy of linear waves at the Reissner-Nordström-AdS Cauchy horizon, by Christoph Kehle.
GR Reading Seminar, Universität Münster, Spring 2024. Topic: Gravitational collapse to extremal black holes and the third law of black hole thermodynamics, by Christoph Kehle and Ryan Unger.
British Isles Graduate Workshop V, Coalport UK, Spring 2024. Lecture about The Vector Field Method in General Relativity (Talk 3.2 in the program).
GR Reading Seminar, Universität Münster, Fall 2025. Topic: A scattering theory approach to Cauchy horizon instability and applications to mass inflation, by Jonathan Luk, Sung-Jin Oh, and Yakov Shlapentokh-Rothman.
Other papers that I would like to dive into and present at a reading seminar, but for which I haven't found the time and occasion to commit to yet:
