About Alex
From Markham, Canada, Alex started learning piano, guitar, bass and drums at a young age. After attending a high school classical arts program, he attended Berklee College of Music on a scholarship. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2022 with a BM in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Writing & Production.
Moving to New York City after graduating, he was immediately busy playing on the Off-Broadway musical Titanique. Taking over the guitar chair in November 2022, he has racked up over 500 performances to date, rocking the stage with a spotlighted guitar solo. Alex performed with the show as the musical guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
In 2024, he started working with Mark Ambor, playing guitar and bass across North America and Europe on the So Good To Be Alive and Rockwood tours. With Mark, Alex played the 538 Koningsdag Festival to 40,000 people in The Netherlands, Times Square New Year's Eve in 2024, The Today Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He also co-produced and played on Mark's Billboard Hot 100 charting holiday single "Run Rudolph Run".
As an educator, Alex has conducted clinics at Berklee College of Music and maintains an active private teaching studio in New York. From his home studio, Alex remotely recorded the guitar tracks for Yamaha Music Japan's Arranging for Contemporary Music textbook, by Lee Abe.
Alex is an endorsed artist with Shubb Capos, Fractal Audio Systems, Mono, and 64Audio IEMs.
About Titanique
Titanique is a jukebox musical parody of the 1997 film, featuring the music of Céline Dion. The show is performed 8 times weekly at the Daryl Roth Theatre, an Off-Broadway performance space in Manhattan. The show has been a huge success, with additional productions opening around the world since its November 2022 opening. The show transferred from the smaller Asylum NYC to meet ticketing demand, where it previously ran from June to November 2022.
To promote the transfer, Titanique was the musical guest for the 11/22/2022 episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers. The performance received US viewership ratings of 795,000 by Nielsen, and was featured in Playbill, Vulture, and Broadway World.
The show has been extensively featured in major media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and People Magazine. It has won three Lucille Lortel Awards (recognizing excellence in New York Off-Broadway theatre), the Off-Broadway Alliance's Award for Best New Musical, and was nominated for a Queerty, the largest queer culture and entertainment awards show.
The show has extended numerous times, with a current close date of June 2025.
