'Love Poems' are a series of cut paper collage I created in the Spring/Summer of 2022 using house paint and graphite. There are about twenty-five in total and they are heavily layered. I worked with a stack of paper I had hand-written a draft of a novel on in 2016 (which accounts for the 'scraffito' seen in many of these pieces) as well as a collection of journal/personal diary entries. Many, if not all, are double-sided. The slogans and exclamations seen in each piece arrived as spur-of-the-moment stream of consciousness. Me, around the time of making this series.
I find this 'Don't Give Up, Sweetheart!' daemon lover piece to be very motivational.

This is the much bigger piece de resistance from the series. It is much larger than the others and incorporates parts of large screenprint I had made a year earlier, as well as more diary entries and other ephemera from my life.
