I am currently looking for a new position where I can utilize and expand on my geospatial skills! My former appointment was working as the Lead Geocoder for the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History Herbarium, which I held from August 2020 to November 2025.
Outside of tinkering around with mapping software, I greatly enjoy exploring the natural world outside of software interfaces and digital maps. I enjoy hiking and cycling, and being able to explore across the Rocky Mountain range and having the privilege to explore across Colorado. Another hobby I partake in is plant identification, as discovering and being able to recognize various, native flora gives a whole new perspective and meaning to even well-traveled areas. An unanticipated, but very welcomed perk of my museum and herbarium work has been being able to map out and observe distributions of my favorite plants, and having the ability to catalogue locations where most prominent for future trip ideas (along with anything that just looks fun or catches my attention.)
I am a lifelong fan of science fiction and SF novels. My favorite franchises include Lord of the Rings, Dune, and literature from authors including Andy Weir, Margaret Atwood and Jeff VanderMeer.
