I am a founding member of the group 'Anfibios de Sinaloa,' established in 2021 from the perspective of citizen science. The group started as a project on the iNaturalist platform to explore the amphibian diversity in the state of Sinaloa due to a lack of field exploration for over 50 years. Currently, it consists of several members distributed across Sinaloa and is advised by various specialists. We are dedicated to disseminating our research and outreach activities through social media.
Member of the multidisciplinary group 'SOS Cocodrilo Culiacán,' this group was founded in 2024 with the support of the Culiacán municipal government and associated institutions such as Civil Protection, Firefighters, Universities, and civil associations. The group's goal is to monitor the crocodile populations in the urban area of Culiacán and change people's perception of crocodiles.
Interview conducted by the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, which highlighted the findings on amphibians and reptiles in Sinaloa and the support provided to students of the Faculty of Biology.
We discussed our projects focused on amphibians, as well as the published studies that include new records and observations of the natural history of the region's herpetofauna.
