Percentage discounts behave differently depending on what you are buying. Because 3HKC8678TR1E takes 15% off all hosting services at AlexHost rather than handing over a fixed credit, the cash value of the code moves with the size of the order. Below are three worked scenarios that show how the same code fits three very different buyers, and which questions each of them should answer before paying.
A freelance designer wants somewhere to park a single client site. Shared web hosting is the natural fit: AlexHost's shared plans include cPanel, and email hosting comes with them, with unlimited email accounts, so there is no separate mailbox product to buy.
The path is short. Pick shared hosting on alexhost.com, choose a plan tier, then set the billing cycle on the configuration step. Register or log in to the client area, and on the cart or order review page look for the 'have a promo code?' box near the order summary. Enter the code exactly as written, with no spaces, and apply it. The total should fall by 15% before payment.
One thing this buyer should check on site: whether a longer billing cycle already carries its own discount. AlexHost's live plan table is the only reliable source for current pricing, and the knowledge here does not state how term-length pricing interacts with the promo code.
A developer running a staging environment and a couple of side projects needs more control than shared hosting allows, so a VPS/VDS with root access is the relevant category. The configuration step matters more here: billing cycle, operating system or control panel, data centre location and any add-ons all get set before the cart.
Because the discount is a percentage, a VPS order returns more absolute saving than a small shared plan at the same 15% rate. The discount also applies across all hosting services rather than being tied to one plan or server type, so there is no need to hunt for a qualifying tier.
Two unknowns are worth resolving at checkout. First, whether the 15% applies only to the first billing term or recurs at renewal is not stated. Second, whether add-ons such as SSL certificates, backups or extra IP addresses are counted in the discounted subtotal is also not stated. Applying the code and reading the revised order summary line by line is the practical way to find out.
A small company moving a heavier workload onto a dedicated server sits at the top end of the order-size range, which is where a percentage discount does the most work. The process is unchanged: choose the dedicated category and a configuration, complete the account step, then apply the code on the cart or order review page, sometimes on the final checkout page.
This buyer is also the most likely to be weighing jurisdiction and latency. AlexHost has operated since 2008, is Moldova-based with servers in Moldova, and runs its own infrastructure rather than reselling. The company states it uses SSD drives across its equipment. If the site's audience sits in North America or Asia, a CDN is advised, since the server location alone will not solve distance.
Domain registration is available too, but whether domains fall inside the discounted subtotal is not stated, so treat any domain line in the cart as unconfirmed until the totals update.
Choose the product category and plan tier first, then configure the order fully.
Create an account or log in before reaching the promo field.
Type 3HKC8678TR1E with no spaces, treating it as case- and character-sensitive.
Confirm the total has dropped by 15% before selecting a payment method.
Read the refund terms shown on the order page, which are not reproduced here.
The code itself does not change between these three cases. What changes is the amount it returns and the number of order lines you need to inspect once it has been applied.
