Car Batteries currently require the use of rare finite materials such as lithium, cobalt etc. IBM claim they have come up with a new chemical composition to create car batteries and the chemicals can be extracted from Seawater. This is extremely exciting in the transport industry. IBM have teamed up with Mercedes Benz and a few other companies to try speed up the process of bringing this new electric battery to the market.
