ESA OSIP project titled Ultralightweight CubeSat chassis enabled by anisotropic topology optimization of composite materials, aimed at developing lightweight space structures through anisotropic topology optimization of composites. Flexion (31 Dec 2024 – 30 Dec 2027). Project titled Design of FLEXible materials and structures via shape and topology optimizatION, funded by MCIU within the Programa de Transferencia y Colaboración. The project develops new methods for the design of flexible materials and structures through shape and topology optimization. Collaboration with Antoine Laurain (University of Duisburg–Essen). TOMAT (1 Sept 2024 – 31 Aug 2027). Project titled Topology optimization with composite and flexible materials, funded by MCIU within the Programa Estatal para Impulsar la Investigación Científico-Técnica y su Transferencia. It focuses on the development of topology optimization methods for composite and flexible materials with applications in advanced structural design. Funding: €120,000. (PI)
Energy optimization of OPEN ARMS UNO: a dual social commitment (Sept 2023 – current). Research and technology transfer project funded through a UPC innovation prize/call focused on reducing the fuel consumption of the humanitarian vessel Open Arms Uno through advanced modelling and data-driven methodologies. Shape optimization considering bifurcations (2022 – 2023). Project funded by UPC / Ministerio de Universidades through a Beca de formación para el profesorado. The project addressed shape optimization problems in the presence of bifurcation and structural instability phenomena. International partner: University of Oxford. Funding: €120,000. (PI)

Large French industrial research consortium in metal additive manufacturing involving major industrial partners such as Safran and Michelin, focused on design methodologies and optimization strategies for metal additive manufacturing.
