Alexey Kalinin

I am a natural resource economist and a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Forest. I am interested in the impacts of natural resource governance, development, and conservation on the economic and environmental well-being of local communities.

In my research, I use empirical techniques from applied economics to examine these themes with application to land conservation, mining, and water resources. By studying outcomes of natural resource management policy, my work informs policy solutions to contemporary challenges of sustainable environmental management.
