Alexandros Groutides

Hello and welcome to my webpage! 

From September 2026, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Instituto Matemáticas de la Universidad de Sevilla (IMUS) with Prof. Alberto Minguez.

In July 2026, I completed my PhD at the University of Warwick under the supervision of Prof. David Loeffler. My PhD thesis was titled "On Branching Laws, Zeta Integrals, and Euler Systems''

In July 2022, I completed my MSc at the University of Oxford, where I wrote a thesis on Serre's Open Image Theorems under the supervision of Prof. James Newton. Before that, in August of 2021, I completed my BSc at UCL.

My scientific interests lie in Number Theory and Representation Theory within the framework of the Langlands Program and the Bloch-Kato Conjecture. They include aspects of the representation theory of p-adic groups, the study of L-functions and Euler systems, and the arithmetic of automorphic forms. 

When I am not doing maths, I enjoy playing the guitar and making music. I also like playing table tennis, cooking, and watching movies.
