My research combines rigorous academic analysis with a strong applied focus. A first strand focuses on asset pricing and investor behaviour, analysing how monetary policy, macro-financial fundamentals, and sentiment are reflected in equity, sovereign, and corporate bond markets. A second strand examines corporate finance and private equity, with particular emphasis on deal activity. A third strand focuses on banks and non-bank financial institutions, analysing how monetary policy changes affect balance-sheet behaviour, funding structures, and the transmission of risk across the financial system.
This research agenda has resulted in more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in ABS 3 and ABS 4 journals, spanning asset pricing, corporate finance, private equity, and financial intermediation, and has been presented at leading international conferences and specialist workshops, including academic and policy-oriented forums.
Alongside academic research, I engage with policy institutions and external partners to translate empirical evidence into insights relevant for economic and financial decision-making. My work has also generated externally funded research and consultancy activity with public institutions and industry.
