Jay Peak
Jay Peak Resort is only 10 minutes from the venue and has lots of options plus a sweet water park. We have a discount code for guests at our wedding, here's the info:
For discounts at Jay Peak hotels, the group number that needs to be referenced at time of booking is: 667982. Guests simply need to call the central reservations # at 1-800-451-4449 and use this code to get the discount on all units including Stateside Hotel, but not in Hotel Jay or Tram Haus Lodge.
***NOTE: We just found out that the same weekend as our wedding there is a music festival at Jay, so they are not renting out rooms in their cheaper hotel option. There seems to still be options at Jay for other rooms, and it looks like AirBnB has a variety of options in Montgomery as well. If you are having a hard time finding a place to stay, PLEASE call us and we'll help you!!
Once we know how many people are staying at Jay, we'll likely get a shuttle to take people back and forth to the venue - stay tuned.
Camping
If you just want somewhere to crash after the festivities and don't mind roughing it, Sheady Acres is cool with people camping in their woods that night (just a few steps away from the party). If you're interested in this option, let Alex or Nate know.
AirBnb and beyond
Airbnb has options in Montgomery or Jay, and plenty of people rent out their ski condos during the summer.
If you are looking to stay closer to Burlington/the airport, there are plenty of hotel options in different price ranges in Burlington and South Burlington.
One of Alex and Nate's favorite things to do together is drive around Vermont looking for adventure :) We're doing the 251 Club - visiting all of Vermont's 251 cities and towns - and highly recommend taking a scenic drive and stopping to discover the joy of a small town general store or a covered bridge. In the area, we recommend:
If you're around for a couple of days and going to be checking out the Burlington area, don't miss Lake Champlain, Church Street, and eating a meal at one of the great restaurants in Winooski (Misery Loves Company is our favorite).
