2025:
We were awarded an NIH R16 award, for $589,210 total over four years.
One of our team members, Ayesha Mulla, was awarded a Psi Chi Undergraduate Research Grant (total award: $1,500)!
Another team member, Ola Abozid, traveled to Vienna, Austria, to participate in the Medical Image Perception Lab at the European Congress of Radiology. She collected eye movement data from dozens of expert radiologists on-site at the conference.
And two of our alumni, Amy Patel and Josey Spiers, traveled to Cyprus to present at the European Congress of Radiology.

2024:
One of our team members, Ola Abozid, was awarded a Psi Chi Undergraduate Research Grant (total award: $3,350), a second Psi Chi Undergraduate Research Grant (total award: $1,625), a Psi Chi travel grant, a National Eye Institute Early Career Scientist award, and a New York Tech "Rising Star" award! Another student team member, Amy Patel, was awarded a Psi Chi Undergradaute Research Grant (total award: $3125)!
We also received a $15,000 New York Tech Institutional Support for Research and Creativity Grant, for a project exploring how people make meaning from images.
Dr. Alexander received a Supervisor of the Year award from New York Tech's office of Career Success and Experiential Education.
2023:
Dr. Alexander joined New York institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor of Psychology & Counseling!
2022:
We won the Scientific Paper of the Year award from AuntMinnie.com (the radiology field’s premier medical imaging news and information site)!
