I am a PhD student in Pure Mathematics at the University of Birmingham, supervised by Dr. Ana Peón-Nieto and Prof. Marta Mazzocco. I am a member of the research group in Geometry and Mathematical Physics (GMP) at Birmingham. I received my BA and MMath from the University of Cambridge in 2022, where I studied at Queens' College.
My research is on the Hitchin system of the moduli space of Higgs bundles, in particular for Higgs bundles associated to real forms and for non-regular Higgs bundles. My work also involves geometric structural properties of algebraic groups and Lie algebras, and interacts with the representation theory of finite W-algebras. I am broadly speaking an algebraic geometer.
I am a co-organiser for the Calf Algebraic Geometry seminar for the academic year 2024/25. I was a co-organiser of the Birmingham PhD GMP Group Meetings & Seminars for the academic year 2023/24. Outside of mathematics, I enjoy choral singing, playing the French horn and climbing.
