I'm Alexander, a PhD candidate and Bentham Scholar in political science at University College London (UCL) researching interest groups and their regulation.

My research employs elite surveys and interviews, and I am currently fielding an original set of cross-national surveys of lobbyists and policy-makers in Ireland, France, and Germany.

I am interested in public policy, with a focus on lobbying, transparency, and regulation. I research how the regulation of lobbying informs the lobbying strategies, behaviours, and legitimacy of interest groups, as well as how the information on public registers is consumed by supply and demand policy actors.

At UCL, I co-convene the department of political science's research seminar, as well as sit on the department's Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion committee. I also serve as the UCL representative for the Public Policy Research Network (PPRN), an inter-collegiate network for PhD students researching public policy at UCL, LSE, and KCL. As part of the PPRN, I co-organise methodology courses and conference workshops for PhD students.
