I am co-founder of Free Our Vote, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that develops tech tools to restore voting rights to individuals with past felony convictions.
In addition to that, I am a professional economist at Ankura Consulting Group, LLC. My academic research and 501(c)(3) work do not reflect the views of Ankura Consulting Group. I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University in 2020.
My academic research has been featured in the Vanderbilt Law Review, the Northwestern Law Review, the Ohio State Law Journal, and the International Review of Law and Economics, among other outlets.
My work has been recognized by the Economic Club of Washington D.C., which awarded me the Philip M. Dearborn Fellowship for my research on asset forfeiture. I have received funding from the Institute for Humane Studies and the Mercatus Center. My research on felony disenfranchisement has been cited by several media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, The Independent, The Hill, and ProPublica.
Separately, I have used my training as an economist to develop materials for trade books. That includes Mitt Regan's Drone Strike - Analyzing the Impacts of Targeted Killing and my own book with Neel U. Sukhatme tentatively titled The Carceral Cascade: Hidden Costs of Criminal Punishment in America.
As a corporate economist, I oversee a variety of antitrust and disputes litigation matters, primarily related to the healthcare and commercial waste industries. I have co-authored white papers on competition issues related to biosimilar drugs and cryptocurrencies. I was recognized by the American Bar Association as a 2021-2022 Young Economist.
