In my research paper, I want to use my voice acting to bring awareness as to why adoption is important. This article is useful because it talks about the benefits of pet ownership and also the responsibility that comes with getting a dog, cat or any animal. A majority of dog owners strongly agreed that you should plan strongly as a family before you thing about getting a pet.
“Top Reasons to Adopt a Pet.” The Humane Society of the United States, www.humanesociety.org/resources/top-reasons-adopt-pet.
This website explains the reasons on why you should adopt instead of buying/shopping from a breeder. "Each year, it's estimated that more than one million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet". This is something that some people aren't aware of when thinking about getting a pet or they assume that they can't find a pure-breed in a shelter, which is not necessarily the case. The website also mentions puppy mills which are basically factory-style breeding facilities that don't care about the conditions of the animals/welfare of the animals. If you buy from a online store, pet store or flea market there's a high chance you are getting a dog from a puppy mill.
This article/website talks about the importance of voice over in story telling. "A voice over provides a direct line between the characters and the audience, which can be used to better tell the story that the filmmaker wants told". It then goes on to say the real power of voice over is its ability to communicate directly with the audience. Voice over is an invaluable asset to anyone who wants to establish a direct connection with the audience because a filmmaker may not have any of those tools so they rely on voice overs.

Lastly I will research more about non-profit organizations. Luckily CARL is a non-profit organization and want to help dogs find their forever home. They look rescue sick, abandoned, unwanted and homeless dogs and they also look after the dogs welfare. That is my main goal to reach as many people as possible and to also tell the stories of the dogs.
