Completed the implementation exercise 11. This can be found under the design problem page. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the design expo but looked over the finalists and our very own third place winner from the ECE department. I also reviewed the services that Stevens offers to support technical innovation like the IDEaS department, 3d prototyping, and much more.

Completed Lab 9 and Exercise 9 which are found on their respective pages. For this weeks exercise, we reviewed our potential hazards developed last week and analyzed the risk of failure and hazards that our product may introduce. For our lab, we went over Quantum Computing using Qiskit with IBM’s computing platform along with reviewing network management protocols like NETCONF and YANG.

Completed Lab 7 and Exercise 7 which are found on their respective pages. For this weeks exercise, we went over the foreseeable misuses of the product, changes that may occur during the products lifetime, and disposal after the product life has ended. For this weeks lab, we reviewed data science concepts using state-of-the-art python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Keras, TensorFlow, and more.

Completed Lab 3 assignments. I currently do not have the components since I left them at work but performed all exercises that did not require outside components. Attached below are screenshots from some of the commands that were run. After completing each of the commands, I would take a look at the code to see how each of the programs work under the hood. The only issue I encountered was I could not locate the ~/demo folder for lab 3f. I'm not sure if this repo is private or it does not exist.

Completed all components of lab 2 except the webcam since I do not own a USB webcam. Minicom was installed and tested. I was not able to complete the optional pi to pi communication since I only own one Pi. For I2C I had access to an accelerometer and was able to obtain values from using only 4 wires! Using DS18B20, I was able to get the temperature data of the room I was sitting in on my pi.
Contribution: I do not have a USB camera available but I do own the Raspberry Pi camera module. Following Getting started with the Camera Module - Introduction | Raspberry Pi Projects, I was able to capture some pictures and save them to my pi!
No Class
For week two of class, we walked through exercise 1 and lab 1. Through these assignment, I installed Raspberry Pi OS and was able to successfully connect the Pi to WiFi. After these steps were completed, I ensured I was able to connect to the Pi via SSH and VNC.
For week one of class, we reviewed the syllabus and went over learning outcomes for the rest of the semester. We also reviewed how to set up the site you are currently viewing this weekly review on and set up our github repo for D6. For reference the link for my github is: alex-waldron/E322 (github.com). Along with this, we were prompted to look at each exercise as an assistant to develop a senior design project for next year. I look forward to what the rest of the semester has to bring.
