About the Artist

Alex (they/them) is a queer and trans artist from Mohkinstsis (Calgary) whose practices focuses on creating and telling queer stories through the medium of animation. 

Their current project is called Bug World, about a non-binary teenager trying to find their place in the world. Alex's stories such as this one deal with themes of belonging, coming of age, and the relations between their identities and creepy, crawly, misunderstood critters.
