Current position
Researcher at the Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies of the Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK-IRVAPP)
I am an applied economist with research interests ranging from income inequality and labour market institutions to firm productivity and economic growth. My current research addresses the impact of digitalisation on labour market outcomes, analysing how technological competencies shape employment opportunities and wage dynamics for different groups of workers in different institutional contexts. Another area of my research focuses on public support for firms, specifically examining its effectiveness in achieving various outcomes. These outcomes include improving productivity, increasing investment in innovation, enhancing human capital, and fostering environmental sustainability. This aspect is crucial for studying how incentives are distributed and targeted towards specific groups, ensuring that support does not go to unprofitable firms or those with limited growth potential.
I am a research fellow at the Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies of the Bruno Kessler Foundation. I obtained a doctoral degree in Economics and Management from the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano in January 2021 with a thesis on inequality, labour market institutions and economic growth. The scholarship was financed by the Institute for Economic Research (IER) - Chamber of Commerce of Bolzano/Bozen.Â
Additionally, I am an active member of the productivity board of the autonomous province of Trento, collaborating with colleagues from key research organisations in the region, including the OECD, the Bank of Italy, and the University of Trento. I am also a member of the Innovation Growth Lab (IGL) research network.
