Alessio D’Amato is Associate Professor in Economic Policy at the Department of Economics and Legal Studies, University of Naples Parthenope and is Associate Editor of Waste Management.
He achieved the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) to function as full professor in Political Economy (Economia Politica), Economic Policy (Politica Economica) and Public Economics (Scienza delle Finanze).
He has served as President and Council Member of the Italian Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (IAERE), and is currently member of the EAERE Committee on Sustainability and EAERE Conferences.
He is also member of SEEDS, Fellow of CEIS - Tor Vergata and Senior Fellow of Fondazione Tor Vergata
He is currently performing joint research with national and international scholars, as well as with colleagues in Naples Parthenope; he has been and is part of several international projects, involving, among others, the European Environment Agency, FAO and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
His research activity is focused on: Theory of Incentives. Environmental Behaviours. Emissions Trading and their implementation. Eco-Innovation. Environmental Compliance and Illegal Behaviour. Waste Management and Policy. Green Public Procurement.
