Down the Iter is a partially illustrated novel aimed for teens/young adults.
This story follows the journey of Phoenix, a teenage girl whose life in turned upside down when a destructive storm forces her from her home and strips her of her family and everything she has known about the world. Lost and confused, Phoenix must find a way to reconnect with herself and the world around her while also learning to navigate the challenges that lie ahead. Throughout her journey down the mighty Iter River, Pheonix learns to utilize her own skills and abilities to begin healing from her traumatic loss.
As she searches for answers, Phoenix meets many others who have been impacted by the disaster and learns how to look to those around her for support. By connecting with those around her, Phoenix learns how to overcome the many obstacles she faces and, in the process, discovers more about herself than she could have ever thought. Join Phoenix and the friends she meets along the way as she learns how to cope with her difficult feelings and thoughts through the use of evidence-based practical skills and techniques.
