I am a research fellow at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and the Einstein Center Population Diversity. I hold a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute (EUI) and I have worked as a consultant for the at the Directorate of Education and Skills of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). 

My main research interests are: social stratification, migration, social demography, health inequalities and sociology of education. 

My work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the European Sociological Review, the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, the Journal of Marriage and Family, Nature Scientific Reports, Population Development Review, Population Studies, Social Forces, and Social Science and Medicine.
