"Shear zones as fossil archives to understand active processes: implications for strain localisation and metallogenesis in the West Kunlun in China" with Project Number: 2026PVC0081 was funded for a funding amount of RMB 48000 in collaboration with Prof. Li Nuo

This project will leverage state-of-the-art methodologies, including 3D multiscale analysis of deformed rocks, to address fundamental questions about spatial relationships between deformation, fluid flow, and mineralisation in these peculiar terrains. Ultimately, this project will advance our understanding of the geological processes that shape the Earth's continental crust providing a possible link between paleo fluid pulse in developing mineralised systems and actual seismicity as a signature of potentially newly forming ore deposits.
