Hi there! I'm Alessandro Passantino, I have recently obtained a PhD as part of the Milano Bicocca-Pavia-INdAM Joint PhD program, under the supervision of Luca Tasin and Calum Spicer.
My current research interests lie in algebraic geometry. I mainly focus on the following:
birational geometry (questions related to MMP, boundedness);
positivity problems (effective birationality, vanishing and non-vanishing results);
foliation theory (boundedness, foliated MMP, properties of interpolated canonical divisors).
During my Bachelor's and Master's I also did some research on the computational complexity of constraint problems in qualitative temporal reasoning; you can find more details here.
