We are meaning-making creatures. Tattoos and body modification have always been a key part of identity formation for me; a source of gender euphoria and affirmation that the vessel I inhabit is mine to decorate and adorn. Trans/Queer identity and body modification are closely linked because they both inherently require and embody a sense of agency, rebellion, creation and connection.

I grew up in two distinct worlds. The landscapes and cultural expectations between rural Mexico and Los Angeles have sharpened my observations of contrasting and intermingling ecosystems in nature and in life. I  follow the natural flows on the body and decorate them with all things natural, magical, and whimsical. I also have a fondness for subjects with a dark edge, because not all things in nature are bright and beautiful--they can be scary, grotesque, or parasitic, and I find that fascinating as well. I lean heavily on fine lines, dotted and textured shading, and occasional colors. If you have an idea that fits my style and subject matter, I’d be happy to realize your next tattoo with you.
