This is a pilot project for how AI will respond to sound and sight stimuli. The player can make sound by either walking around or interacting with objects in the environment and when they enter the AI's sight, it will move to the player's last known location.
Gifs below indicate how the enemy can interact and respond to changes in environement, such as lights being turned off, AI hearing sounds or seeing the player character.
During the development of this pilot project, the main issues I encountered were understanding how and when to make the AI perception receive a sound-based stimulus. Determining the radius around the source of the sound where the AI could hear it.
