I'm a Data Scientist/Data Analyst with a background in biology and biotechnology. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Havana and later completed a master's in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics at the Yucatan Scientific Research Center (CICY) in Mexico. My academic foundation helped me transition into data science, where I now specialize in building dashboards, analyzing KPIs, and extracting insights to support data-driven decision-making.

Over the past five years, I’ve worked as a Data Analyst and Data Scientist, expanding from biological and genomic data to business intelligence, sales analytics, and operational performance.

My core strength lies in statistics, which has consistently guided my work across disciplines. I’m highly proficient in R, and also experienced in Python and SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis. For visualization, I’ve worked extensively with Tableau and Power BI to build clear, actionable dashboards.

My projects range from advanced machine learning tasks—such as protein classification using convolutional variational autoencoders—to practical, business-driven analytics aimed at optimizing sales strategies and internal processes.

I’m a quick learner, proactive, and committed to continuous growth. I enjoy translating complex data into insights that drive informed decisions.
