My story is marked by my transnational, multilingual and multidisciplinary career in Argentina, Brazil and the United States, as well as by my personal experience as a Latin American woman.
I am currently an Assistant Professor (Professora Adjunta), Coordinator of Internationalization at the Institute of Languages and Literatures and Prociencia Fellow at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). I was a post-doctoral Fellow at the Digital Humanities Laboratory in the School of Social Sciences of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-CPDOC).
Prior to coming to Brazil, I was an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, Campus at Camden and a Tenured Researcher at the National Council for Science and Technological Research of Argentina (CONICET).
I’m a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires (B.A., Latin American Literature). I earned my M.A. and Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Cultures from Princeton University, where I was a Charlotte Elizabeth Procter Fellow.
My research focuses on the intersections of digital technocultural studies, cultural sociology, antiracism and feminism in Latin America – examining the central role women intellectuals (writers, artists, politicians and social scientists) play in antiracist and feminist social media activism.
My previous research, on the cultural and political meanings of childhood in Latin America, uncovered the centrality of women in struggles for gender, racial and social justice in Latin America.
