As the elected Secretary of the Training & Mentoring Committee for the NEDAC Executive Board (2025–2027), I support NEDians across Canada in building strong professional pathways, particularly in the areas of career transition, skill development, cybersecurity preparedness and other fields.
My volunteer work focuses on:
Reviewing CVs/Resumes for new immigrants and early-career professionals.
Providing detailed, tailored feedback to strengthen technical, professional, and industry-aligned profiles.
Guiding members in positioning their experience for the Canadian job market.
Designing structured training directions for members seeking to:
Transition into Cybersecurity, IT, or related technology fields.
Reskill for emerging industry demands.
Connecting members with practical learning resources, certifications, and mentorship opportunities.
Helping newcomers understand workplace expectations, employment standards, and networking strategies.
Sharing insights on how to navigate the Canadian job market effectively.
Encouraging professional growth through community support, mentorship, and continuous learning.
Through this role, I remain committed to strengthening NEDAC’s mission by empowering alumni, accelerating their career journeys, and building a resilient, collaborative professional community across Canada.
