Alec Sun

I am a PhD student at the University of Chicago advised by Haifeng Xu. My current research is in the economics of machine learning. Some recent and ongoing projects include:

• Pricing machine learning training services

• Designing classifiers when agents can improve

• The power of heterogenous rating scales in recommendation systems

• Using AI forecasters to profit in prediction markets

I received a joint undergraduate and masters degree in mathematics and computer science from Harvard University. There I wrote several papers in combinatorics, analytic number theory, and theoretical computer science.
