A country born from struggle, that now combines old ways with new hope
Before the Great Crossing of 1403, the Basin folk lived simple lives by the water. They fished, farmed, and traded small goods with each other. Life was hard, and many feared the dark forests where the Snortusrexes lived, dangerous creatures that often attacked their villages.
In 1403, everything changed. A group of escaped slaves and soldiers from Arvendale crossed the mountains, led by the Grand Duke’s daughter. They came to Alderbasin looking for a new start. The few Basin folk who had survived welcomed them.
Together, they decided there would never be one ruler again. Instead, they created a 'Covenant' , a promise that the land would be ruled by a council of equals.
With this new beginning, they built the first harbor town. It became a busy place for fishing, trade, and hope. The start of a new life for all the people of the Basin.
Freedom
Unity
harmony
Cooporation
Justice
Alderbasin’s dream is to be a free, fair, and caring country where everyone is valued and can build a good life. We want a future where our traditions and creativity grow side by side, and where every person can follow their own path.
Our towns, farms, and harbours will be full of small businesses, new ideas, and local crafts. Trade will connect us to the world, but our success will always be shared by everyone.
Our government will be run by the people, not by one ruler, and every voice will be heard. Guided by freedom, unity, and justice, we will build a strong and peaceful nation, a place where people live freely, think boldly, and care deeply for one another.
Alderbasin is a nation built on freedom and the power of the people. Long ago, many groups came together, those who lived by the shore, freed people who searched for justice, and brave souls who left kings behind to start something new. Together, they became one community: the Basinwards.
The people of Alderbasin are brave, fair, and caring. We believe in freedom of choice, helping each other, and working together for the good of all. We respect our history and traditions, but we also welcome new ideas and ways to improve life.
We live close to nature and understand that our future depends on taking care of the land, the water, and each other. In Alderbasin, freedom, unity, and cooperation guide everything we do.
