# Privacy Policy for Aldane Rex: Rise of a Kingdom

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application **Aldane Rex: Rise of a Kingdom** ("the App", "Aldane Rex") handles your information.
The App is developed and published by **Serban Adrian Nicolae** ("the Developer", "we", "us"), an individual based in Romania. The App is distributed internationally through the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and other authorised digital storefronts.
We have designed Aldane Rex to be privacy-first. In short: **we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information about you.**

## 1. Information we collect
**None.**
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the Developer or to any third party. Specifically, the App does **not** collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
- Your IP address, device identifiers, advertising ID, IMEI, MAC address, or location.
- Your gameplay statistics, save files, achievements, or in-game choices.
- Any analytics, crash reports, performance metrics, or usage data.
- Any biometric, financial, or health information.
The App does not contain any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, social, or telemetry SDKs.
The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or sign up for any service.

## 2. Information stored locally on your device
The App stores a small amount of data **on your device only**. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us. It includes:
- **Game save files**: your kingdom, choices, resources, progress, endings, and transfer codes.
- **User preferences**: display theme, audio volume, music on/off, sound effects on/off, and vibration/haptics on/off.
This data is stored using your device's standard local storage, including HTML5 `localStorage` inside the App's WebView. You can erase it at any time by clearing the App data where your operating system allows it, or by uninstalling the App.
### Platform backups: Android and iOS
The App stores save files and preferences locally. Depending on your device settings, your operating system may include that local app data in a platform backup.
- On Android, Android Auto Backup may back up local app data to your personal Google Drive account.
- On iOS or iPadOS, iCloud Backup or encrypted device backups may include local app data.
- These backups are created, stored, and managed by Google, Apple, or your device backup provider, not by the Developer.
- The Developer has no access to those backups and cannot read, restore, or delete them.
- You can manage or disable platform backups in your device settings.

## 3. Permissions and device features used by the App
The App uses only the following platform features:
- **Network access / INTERNET** - On Android, the underlying Capacitor framework declares the INTERNET permission as a technical requirement. The App does not make network requests during normal gameplay. No gameplay data is sent to the Developer.
- **Haptics / VIBRATE** - The App may use vibration or haptic feedback on choices, events, warnings, game over screens, and endings where supported by your device. No data is collected. You can disable vibration in the App settings.
- **Local audio playback** - The App plays bundled music and sound effects from files included inside the App. The App does not stream audio and does not transmit audio-related data.
The App does **not** request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, photos, calendar, accounts, or any other sensitive permission.

## 4. Third parties
The App itself contains no third-party SDKs that collect data.
However, please be aware that:
- **Google Play**, **Apple App Store**, or another storefront processes your purchase and download under that storefront's own privacy policy. We may receive only aggregated, anonymous sales or install data from storefront dashboards, such as country-level installs or revenue.
- **Google Play Services** and **Apple system services** may operate independently of the App in the background. Their data handling is governed by Google or Apple, not by the Developer.

We have no contractual relationship with any other third party that processes your data on our behalf.

## 5. Children's privacy
Aldane Rex is intended for users **14 years of age and older** and is suitable for a teen audience, due to themes of governance, conflict, and moderate violence.
The App is **not directed at children under 13** and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no data at all, it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR's protections for minors, and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code by default.
If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us, although as described above, we have no mechanism to receive such information through the App.

## 6. Your rights under GDPR: EU / EEA / UK users
If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR grant you rights regarding personal data, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your data.
**Because we do not collect or process any personal data, there is nothing for us to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to.** All gameplay data resides on your device and is fully under your control.

The data controller for any matter relating to the App is the Developer, identified in Section 9.

## 7. Your rights under CCPA / CPRA: California users
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA grant you certain rights regarding personal information.
We do not collect personal information from any user, including California residents. We do not **sell** or **share** personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months and have no plans to do so.

The App is distributed internationally. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted to us, no international data transfer takes place. All data created by the App remains on your device, subject to the laws of your jurisdiction and to any platform backup settings you choose.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App, applicable law, or distribution platforms. When we do:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
- For material changes, such as the introduction of analytics, advertising, or any form of data collection, we will provide a clear in-app notice before the change takes effect, where reasonably practicable.
Continued use of the App after a revised Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
