The exhibition, organised by Albion Art Club, featured the works of talented Lithuanian and Ukrainian artists, bringing together a diverse audience of art lovers, community members, and distinguished guests.
Art has always been a universal language, capable of transcending borders and connecting people through shared emotions and experiences. This exhibition was a testament to the deep artistic traditions of Lithuania and Ukraine, reflecting the rich heritage, resilience, and creativity of these nations. The showcased works ranged from contemporary abstract paintings to evocative pieces capturing the essence of history, identity, and human connection.
We were honoured to welcome esteemed guests, including Sir Stephen Timms, a Member of Parliament, Unmesh Desai, a Member of the London Assembly, and Andrey Marchenko, Director of the Ukrainian Welcome Centre. Their presence underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy and the role of art in fostering mutual understanding and support between communities.
During the meeting, discussions revolved around the power of artistic expression in times of change, the role of cultural initiatives in strengthening ties between diaspora communities, and the significance of public spaces like libraries in hosting such meaningful events. Their support and words of encouragement highlighted the importance of continuing these initiatives to preserve and promote Baltic and Ukrainian cultural heritage in the UK.
The Lithuanian and Ukrainian artists who participated in the exhibition shared their perspectives on the creative process, inspiration, and the challenges of being an artist in today’s world. Through their work, they conveyed messages of hope, identity, and transformation, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
One of the most striking aspects of the exhibition was the diversity of artistic styles and themes. Some artworks told personal stories of migration and adaptation, while others explored broader historical and social themes. The exhibition served as a powerful reminder that art is not only about aesthetics but also about storytelling and emotional connection.
This event was more than just an exhibition—it was a celebration of cultural heritage and artistic collaboration. It reinforced the idea that art plays a crucial role in bringing communities together, sparking conversations, and inspiring future generations.

Exhibition Introduction:
The collection “Journey” is based on the interplay between Lithuanian and British cultures and personal experiences of living in both countries.
Exhibition Description:
I was inspired by the symbolism of the 17th-century "Little Dutch Masters," which invites the viewer to delve deeper and discover hidden meanings. This inspiration gave birth to the collection“Journey”.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of my collection, which has been exhibited both in Lithuania and the United Kingdom. The collection, titled “Journey” is a contemplation of the commonalities and differences between Lithuania and the United Kingdom. The works reflect the cultural symbols and historical connections of these two countries. Inspired by personal experiences and shared European values, the pieces explore the complex impact of the Brexit era while bridging the identities of both nations.
I have something special to share with you...
You know how art can touch the soul, right? Well, we are creating something truly meaningful—a beautiful album featuring the works and stories of Baltic artists exhibited in London at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania.
This album will be multilingual (English, Lithuanian, Latvian, Ukrainian), but most importantly, it will be filled with heart.
It’s not just an art showcase—it’s a preservation of the emotions, creativity, and passion of these incredible artists. Every brushstroke, every word, every detail tells a story. And the best part? This book will debut at the 2025 Vilnius Book Show, shining as a testament to the beauty of Baltic culture.
I can’t express how much this project means to me—it feels like creating a legacy that we can all share and be proud of. Knowing that people like you believe in this vision makes it even more special. This album is more than just a project; it’s a way to connect hearts and inspire future generations.
We can all be a part of this journey, and I can’t wait to see it come to life. Let’s make this dream a reality together.

Neringa Ablingytė People also ask how I am creating (music, songs, poems, paintings, theatre performances, or simply spontaneously performing with the kids). I can't answer. I am not doing it; I am just jumping into this amazing flow of energy and power and copying it from there. And I believe that we just need to break our blocks, and then everyone can do it.
Cultural heritage implies a shared bond, our belonging to a community. The protection of cultural property is an old problem. Cultural heritage passed down to us from our parents must be preserved for the benefit of all. Writing and reading are primarily solitary pursuits. We invite everyone who values arts and culture to explore the written word. And we support the vibrancy and diversity of the Lithuanian writers in the UK artistic culture. We believe that writing empowers greater understanding of self and others and thereby encourages compassion and empathy in our society.
