Solar Minimum is Coming
Intense solar activity such as sunspots and solar flares subsides during solar minimum, but that doesn’t mean the sun becomes dull. Solar activity simply changes form.

Solar System
This Solar System video shows how each of the planets orbit the Sun in the same anti-clockwise direction, with the inner rocky planets orbiting much faster than the outer gas giant planets. The rotation period (and direction) for each of the Solar System planets is also shown accurately in terms of their relative rotations speeds to each other.

NASA - ESA tracks a solar storm
Scientists have recently used data from ten NASA and ESA spacecraft in the direct path of a CME to piece together an unprecedented portrait of how these solar storms move through space - in particular, narrowing down the changes in speed that happen as CMEs travel through the solar system beyond Earth's orbit.

The Solar System
The Earth is round, Mercury is the hottest planet, and the Sun is yellow. It would seem that these are all simple, undeniable facts known even to those with no real knowledge of astronomy. However, it’s time to think again.

The Seasons
The seasons result from the Earth's axis being tilted to its orbital plane; it deviates by an angle of approximately 23.5 degrees. Thus, at any given time during summer or winter, one part of the planet is more directly exposed to the rays of the Sun. This exposure alternates as the Earth revolves in its orbit. Therefore, at any given time, regardless of season, the northern and southern hemispheres experience opposite seasons.

Supersonic Parachute
The first flight of an advanced supersonic parachute system for Mars 2020—NASA’s next Mars rover. This video is narrated by Ian Clark, the test's technical lead from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. The test took place on Oct. 4, 2017, at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, Virginia. At the moment of full inflation, the parachute is going 1.8 times the speed of sound or nearly 1,300 miles an hour, and generating nearly 35,000 pounds of drag force—drag that would be necessary to help slow a payload down as it was entering the Martian atmosphere. This is the first of several tests in support of NASA’s Mars 2020 mission. For more information.

List of all spacecraft in the order of appearance
Big F*king Rocket (officially Big Falcon Rocket) will replace all Spacex's current vehicles and eventually take humans to Moon and Mars.
Falcon Heavy, previously known as the Falcon 9 Heavy, is a reusable super heavy lift space launch vehicle being designed and manufactured by SpaceX. Falcon heavy is set to launch in the end of 2017.
The New Glenn is a privately funded orbital launch vehicle in development by Blue Origin. It is expected to make its initial test launch prior to 2020.
Dragon 2 is the second version of the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, which will be a human-rated vehicle able to make a terrestrial soft landing. Dragon 2 is to carry its first astronaut crew in June 2018.
The Space Launch System (SLS) is an American Space Shuttle-derived heavy expendable launch vehicle.
It is part of NASA's deep space exploration plans including a manned mission to Mars.

Space Launch
Space launch is the earliest part of a flight that reaches space. Space launch involves liftoff, when a rocket or other space launch vehicle leaves the ground, floating ship or midair aircraft at the start of a flight. Liftoff is of two main types: rocket launch (the current conventional method), and non-rocket space launch (where other forms of propulsion are employed, including airbreathing jet engines or other kinds).
Rocket launch is the only current way to reach space. In some cases an airbreathing (jet engine) first stage has been used as well.Non-rocket space launch is a launch into space where some or all of the needed speed and altitude are provided by something other than expendable rockets. A number of alternatives to expendable rockets have been proposed. In some systems such as Skyhooks, rocket sled launch, and air launch, a rocket is used to reach orbit, but it is only part of the system.

NASA's Ionospheric Connection Explorer, or ICON, launches in December 2017 and orbits above the upper atmosphere, through the bottom edge of near-Earth space. From this vantage point, ICON observes both the upper atmosphere and a layer of charged particles called the ionosphere, which extends from about 50 to 360 miles above the surface of Earth. Processes in the ionosphere also create bright swaths of color in the sky, known as airglow. ICON will observe how interactions between Earth's weather and the ionosphere create such shimmering airglow as well as other changes in the space environment.

Hinode - Solar observing satellite
The Hinode solar observing satellite changed our view of the sun by providing the highest-resolution images of its innermost atmosphere and the most sensitive magnetic field measurements available from space. Ten years later, Hinode continues to reveal dynamic solar phenomena in spectacular detail through nearly a full solar cycle. To celebrate Hinode’s 10th anniversary, this video from the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and National Astromonical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) features highlights captured during the satellite's first decade in space. The Hinode mission is led by JAXA, with participation from NASA and the United Kingdom and European Space Agencies.

Comet K2
NASA's Hubble Space Telescope observed the farthest-discovered active inbound comet, Comet K2. K2 came from the distant Oort Cloud and is visiting our inner solar system for the first (and only) time. Since we're seeing it so far away, past the orbit of Saturn, K2 is still in its early phase of activity, likely making it the most primitive comet anyone has ever seen.

PLASMA ROCKET
A U.S. based rocket propulsion company is developing an engine that could take humans to Mars in just 39 days, and it has funding from Nasa to accomplish the task. A spacecraft normally takes several months to reach Mars. According to Franklin Chang Diaz, CEO of the Ad Astra Rocket Company of Texas, the new rocket engine technology has the potential to be revolutionary. The Vasimr Rocket is not used for launching things, It is used for things already in orbit, which we call. 'in space propulsion'," said Chang Diaz, also a former astronaut. The Vasimr engine works by heating plasma, an electrically charged gas, to extreme temperatures using radio waves. Strong magnetic fields then funnel this plasma out of the back of the engine. This in turn, creates thrust, helping to propel the engine at extreme speeds.

NASA’s InSight mission was launched by a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V 401 rocket from Space Launch Complex 3E, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, on 5 May 2018, at 11:05 UTC (04:05 PDT/07:05 EDT). InSight, short for Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport, is a NASA Mars lander designed to study Mars’ interior structure and provide insight into the formation of the rocky planets of the Solar System, as well as rocky exoplanets. Along with InSight, Atlas V launched two Mars Cube One (MarCO-A & MarCO-B) CubeSats, the first time CubeSats were launched into deep space.
